February 9
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
2 Thessalonians 1:3 ESV

Exodus 17-18
17 I am not ever to forget that the Lord provides for me daily, every day.  There is nothing to grumble about because He will see to provision for me, no matter what the circumstances look like.  I will NEVER be without!  THE LORD IS MY BANNER!!!

18 Jethro, a non-Jew came and immediately glorified God and sacrificed to Him when He heard how greatly God took care of His people.  It’s amazing how a person “outside the camp” can see this when those experiencing the goodness of God are not content, always wanting something else.  I don’t think discontentment with God’s plan for our lives is wise at all and I also don’t think it’s the way to get anything from God.  What is the difference between discontentment and grumbling?  I don’t think there is.  Jethro set forth a great pattern of leadership and Moses was wise enough to heed the voice of his father-in-law.  Kona Faith Center has a Board of Directors, Superintendents, Directors and Leaders following this same pattern as directed by the Lord Himself.

Psalms 72
Our Lord cares for the poor and needy and I am to do the same.  The Lord always desires prosperity in all areas upon His people!  It is God who crushes the oppressor so that I have no reason to be oppressed.  David is declaring with His prayer for great blessing on his son Solomon and prophesying as to what is to happen for Solomon as king of Israel.

Romans 12
All of me presented to God is actually spiritual worship.  I cannot allow myself to be conformed to this world that I am traveling through on my way to heaven.  The way I stay not conformed is by renewing my mind continuously in the things of God.  Being tested allows me to become a person of discernment so I know the very will of God and can separate out that which is good, acceptable and perfect to Him.  Each of us have giftings that are important to the Body of Messiah and each gift must be used for the glory of God, nothing thinking ever, that any one gift is more than or less than another.  The Lord needs each of us.  Who is anybody to tell the Potter how to mold us?  God knows when someone is a player.  My love has to be genuine to please Him.  Honoring Him means honoring others.  The goal is to live peaceably with one another and show the world that the Love of God truly binds people together.  I am also to treat those outside with the same love and respect so they will see Messiah in me.

Meditate & Apply: Your Banner over me is Love, always making provision for me!  I truly must be content wherever the Lord chooses to have me.  Setting patterns after God’s way of doing things brings success.  Micro managing is not from God.  I must meditate upon God’s Word daily, heed His voice and subject myself to His lead so I pass the tests.  If there is not peace in a relationship, it has to be assessed.

That's what I want- for people to see how good God is to His people (to me) and be drawn to His goodness!
