February 20
The flight was a mere six hours (compared to the long flights lately, six hours really doesn’t seem all that long) from Japan to Cambodia and going through customs/immigration was a breeze.  We were met by Pastor Bala and his friend, Wootong who reminds us of Ben.  By the time we got to the hotel, showered and I got things ready for tomorrow, it is about 1230 am and we have be up by 7.

Exodus 31-32
31 The gifts, callings, talents, anointings and abilities are from God so none of us can boast within ourselves.  Keeping the Sabbath reveals to us that we are sanctified.  God calls it holy so it is holy.  Thank You Lord for giving us a day to rest and refresh in You!

32 Seriously, Aaron?  The Lord calls the people of Israel, “your people” to Moses.  This definitely amuses me though I doubt Moses felt the same way.  This just shows me that I shouldn’t be surprised at all of the corruption in government and corporate leadership and how quickly it comes about.  There truly is nothing new under the sun.  People would rather have idols so they don’t have to be responsible and can “play”.  Moses was such a great and impactful intercessor before the Lord.  I am truly amazed that the Lord didn’t kill Aaron on the spot when he said, “So I said to them, ‘Let any who have gold take it off.’  So they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf.”’   Seriously, Aaron?

Psalms 89

1 I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.

The steadfast love of the Lord will not be broken because of His covenantal promises He has made.  What a merciful God You are who deserves all glory, praise, worship and honor!

52 Blessed be the LORD forever! Amen and Amen.

1 Corinthians 7

This is the marriage chapter and is full of wisdom for those looking to marry, or not and those who are married.  The bottom line is that devotion to God must be undivided.

Meditate & Apply: The sinful nature of humankind is so profound in that God has put up with us, generation after generation in order to keep His promises and steadfast love towards us, alive.  I truly believe that the world offers so much play that people think they have the right to play more than the right to do anything else.  Seems to me it is a big indicator of a sinful heart to play instead of obeying God and fulfilling the call on each life through the works He created us for and assigns us to accomplish.  Thank You Lord that You are a covenant keeper!  My devotion to You Lord must come first.  Thank You Lord for how You greatly bless me.  Who am I that I should be a sent one?  I live in the most beautiful of places and you send me all over the world to do what I love, declare Your Word and share Your wonderful love for Your people!  How much You love people groups out in the middle of “nowhere” to receive Your blessed Word!  You will never cease to amaze me!
