February 23
Great day!  Jason again did 2 training sessions and I preached another message.  We prayed for everyone (about 25 people).  Our interpreter Tong is wonderful.  He has a lot of influence with business people and was in law enforcement.  We have been eating “soup” three times a day for the past three days which consists of a lot of noodles or rice with vegetables and very small portions of some type of meat.  It actually tastes very good but would be a diabetic nightmare for some (not us, thank You Lord!).  Only a few of the people speak English but they are all very lovely.  Tomorrow PJ will preach and then we will head back to Pnom Phen for one night and then off to India tomorrow night on three different airline carriers taking us to Bangkok, Thailand, New Deli, India, before we reach our destination of Pune on Tuesday early morning, where Pastor Shanthkumar lives.  I sent Sandi a some pics but we don’t have any internet so nothing will go out until we get back to the city.  Until tomorrow…

Exodus 36

5 and said to Moses, “The people bring much more than enough for doing the work that the LORD has commanded us to do.” 6 So Moses gave command, and word was proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let no man or woman do anything more for the contribution for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing, 7 for the material they had was sufficient to do all the work, and more.

In all honesty Lord, I think it would be so wonderful to experience this!

Psalms 94-95
94 14 For the LORD will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage; 15 for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.

95 I must worship You and praise You and thank You my God!  For 40 years the people rebelled with their complaints and dissatisfaction against the Lord.  Once again, this is grumbling before Him.

1 Corinthians 10
The experiences of others were written so I could have the understanding in the things of God.  God hates grumbling.  Not being satisfied, always wanting something other than what God has blessed a person with is grumbling and the outcome is not pretty.  I really don’t think that most people don’t get this and most Believers don’t get that discontentment is an uprising against the Lord.

13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

So, there really is no excuse to be discontented.  In fact, it leads to idolatry.

31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Meditate & Apply: I would love to be able to tell the people that we have more than enough to build our new church.  My Lord will NEVER forsake me!  God HATES grumbling!  I am to be content with any place the Lord has me in life because if not, it is grumbling before Him and He hates grumbling!  All that I do should bring glory to God.

God is moving with favor on the people of KFC financially, and there will be more than enough to carry out the vision!

good point, discontentment leads to idolatry. I see the new building more and more in the Spirit then I have ever before. Miss you!
