But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:5-6 ESV
Whoa! Lack of faith is a killer! If not for Moses who interceded, none would have entered the Promised Land. Children suffer because of the faithlessness of the parents.
This is a great chapter for defining the outcome for the wise versus the foolish and the righteous versus the wicked. Blessing comes to the wise and righteousness whereas the foolish and wicked die in their foolishness and evil living.
2 Corinthians 9
When a person promises an offering and then doesn’t come through it causes humiliation not to mention how the Lord feels about vows not kept! This again is where it is important to make our yes, yes and our no, no and of course to seek the Lord before making such commitments. Sowing and reaping is a Biblical principle that is first stated in Genesis. Sow sparingly and reap sparingly; sow bountifully and reap bountifully. Cheerful giving is what my Lord is looking for every time. If the gift is given grudgingly, why bother? Giving joyfully and generously produces more to give and joy abounding from the Lord.
Meditate & Apply: Without faith it is absolutely impossible to please my God! I reap what I sow.
So true, a lack of faith is a killer. We wonât enter into our promised land without faith in him who makes this provision for us.
Children are truly either blessed or suffer due to the faith of their parents. Amen to generous giving with a truly joyful heart.
Children suffer from parent's lack of faith. OUCH!
Children do suffer due to parents' faithlessness, BUT they also reap due to their faithFULness. Praise GOD that it works BOTH ways. ð
