And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.” Matthew 20: 17-19 ESV
Once again, honest contentment with where the Lord has each of us is of the utmost importance. An independent spirit is one who thinks more highly of themselves than they ought and this is called pride which comes before a fall. Once again, intercession goes before the Lord on behalf of the people not involved in this wicked scheme. It is so important to intercede and stand between the dead and living.
1Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.
Righteousness brings life and unrighteousness brings death. Choose this day whom you will serve but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
2 Corinthians 11
It is the duty of a minister to make the Gospel plain for all to understand.
30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness
Meditate & Apply: Pride kills. Independent people bring difficulty upon themselves but those who seek out godly wisdom receive great gain and blessing. Loving the Lord means doing it 100% and not picking and choosing. I am either dead to self or not.
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
An independent spirit is one who thinks more highly of themselves than they ought and this is called pride which comes before a fall. - True.
It is so important to intercede and stand between the dead and living. - Amen!
The devil likes to twist things upside down, making what is good for you (wisdom) that leads to life, somehow unpleasant. Who doesn't want to enjoy life? The word says, "The foolish."
Keep it simple! Amen! Be all in!
