April 23
…for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”  Romans 14:11 ESV

Deuteronomy 6-7
6 4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

So many times the Commandments have been removed from our USA government walls.  This is just a state of our society and people’s attitudes towards the Lord.  This is such a sad thing to me because of the victory it seems the enemy has yet I know that our Lord always wins!  As I fear the Lord, my life is blessed and it takes care of following Him in every area.  My part is to continue to be a living witness to those around me.

7 I am not to let any of the enemy’s works in my life.  I am to completely destroy them.  The Lord is so much greater than anyone or anything that would try and rise up against Him.  I must have the heart of Joshua and Caleb and not those who see themselves as grasshoppers.  With my God I can stand against any giant in my life.

Ecclesiastes 2
The only thing worth truly gaining in my life is a great relationship with my Lord Yeshua Messiah!  Your correct Solomon, we take nothing with us from this earth when we die except the relationship we gain with our God.  My striving must be to know Him, love Him and walk with Him over all else.

Colossians 3
I can put on the “new self” for I am in Messiah Yeshua.  I see the same theme in all of these chapters today.  Love God with all of my being and follow Him all the days of my life steering clear from the ways of this world.  To sum it all up:
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Meditate & Apply: God always wins no matter what the circumstances seem.  My striving must be to know Him, love Him and walk with Him over all else.  Love God with all of my being and follow Him all the days of my life steering clear from the ways of this world.

Yes, we are overcomers through Him who loves us! Knowing and loving Him brings all good to our lives.
