…knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. 1 Peter 1:18-19 ESV
8 I am to remember the whole way the Lord has led me and continue to follow His leading wholly. I am to live on EVERY Word of the Lord. Feeding my spirit is much more important than feeding my flesh. My God only brings me to good. Yes, there are tests in my life to make sure I keep with humility and faith. I can never let the multitude of blessing upon me make me think I have done something on my own to obtain what God so graciously gives me.
18 You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
9 I am to drive out anything that would occupy me instead of the Lord. My God always confirms His Word. I am not to dwell on my past sin but it is good to remember what the Lord has brought me out of so I always have a thankful heart and attitude.
There is a season for everything in my life and the key for me is to allow God His timing for each of them. The Lord blesses us for our work with good and the key is knowing it is from Him.
I am to treat others with the same attributes my God treats me with. Keep praying and stay in thankfulness. I always need the wisdom of God when responding to anyone.
Meditate & Apply: God blesses me to confirm His Covenant. His Word never fails in my life. Feeding my spirit is of far greater importance than feeding my flesh. As long as I stay in humility and thankfulness, I will pass the tests God sends my way so I know what is in my own heart. The Lord will give me wisdom in every season He has me enter. God’s wisdom will keep me in a good place in life.
Being tested in heart attitudes towards the lord to see that we follow him. Yes, are we sold out to him and his ways.
Amen, follow His timing in every season. Good challenge - treat others with the same attributes God treats us with, the consistently part is the challenge!
Humility and thankfulness: my current life lessons!
