June 12
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.  Psalm 19:1-2 ESV

Judges 10-11

There is a point of no return for those who continuously rebel against the Lord yet His mercy is so powerful He always wants to save them.  The vow of Jephthah really is unsettling.  He had to know that someone from his house whether family or friend would walk out of the door from his house so he cursed his own family!  Not sorry but I think Jephthah should have had to take his daughter’s place!  Rash vows are evil so NEVER make them!

Isaiah 36
If the Lord says to do something, it’s done.  How foolish to think or say otherwise.  Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing.

Proverbs 17:28  Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

Luke 14
I am so grateful my Lord heals any day, any time.  Humility shows itself in many ways and it is best to allow it to always show itself.  Hospitality includes those who cannot return what is given.  This chapter is a great warning to those who make excuses for not gathering together in the Presence of our God (yes, church!).
33 So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.
We can accept this or not be a disciple of the Lord...  Be spiritually salty.

Meditate and Apply: I am grateful for the mercy of God in and on my life.  Stay clear and far away from rash vows!  Not speaking in certain circumstances can be the wisest of things to do (or should I say not to do?).  I am grateful that there are no time restrictions on healing.  Live humbly.  Pride not only comes before a fall but it is embarrassing in many cases.  Lord, show me more ways to be hospitable to those who cannot repay.  Serving the Lord means completely or it is not serving Him.  Whatever I give up in this life will seem like nothing when I am face to face with my God.  Lord, if I am placing things before You, please show me all.

Be humble. Be thoughtful. Speak carefully. Be spiritually salty. Amen!

Not saying anything really spoke to me! :)

Spiritually salty - salt is a seasoning that permeates what it is on and becomes engrained and changes the flavor of what's around it. Sounds like us being a blessing to those around us! Wahoo!
