For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? Mark 8:36 ESV
Life can seem bitter at times but waiting on the Lord proves otherwise. The Lord favors those who choose to walk in His ways.
God’s love for Israel will never fail. The Lord God Almighty through His Word reminds us again and again who He is. He has even written it on our hearts so there is no excuse for us to not know. I know for myself that there was always something huge missing in my life and because of His mercy, He chose me so I would know. Oh, the insanity of idolatry! If a person allows themselves to be deluded and can’t see the truth about the foolishness of worshipping something made with their own hands, they cannot know God. It’s amazing but so very true. The Lord has already redeemed Israel so Israel return to Him! Receive and Believe that Yeshua is your Messiah! The Lord will once again be glorified in Israel!
There will always be betrayers. Sad yet true. Lord may I never be one and protect us from those who would choose to betray us. My experience in what is believed to be the Upper Room where our Lord had his last Passover on earth was one of the greatest experiences I had in Israel, in 2013. “To Him be the Glory” was sang, the girls danced and signed and no one was with us except for some other Pacific Islanders. To this day when we sing this song I am instantly back there in my mind. No human is “great”. Greatness is what describes God, not man. There are times that God provides in advance and times He provides right when we are in need. What difference does it make as long as He provides? That’s correct, no difference whatsoever! There are times to sleep and other times to pray instead. I so appreciate our Lord for healing the enemy’s ear! Who would do this except our God and those who imitate Him? I doubt this man ever forgot what the Lord did for him. Peter dealt with his sin appropriately in that he had remorse and wept bitterly.
Meditate & Apply: Bitterness disappears when the Lord shows Himself. All Israel will one day be Saved. Anyone seeking greatness needs to look at the Lord and Him alone, the author and finisher of our faith! Sin can come even in the life of the Believer. It is what we do with it and how we handle it that foretells what is to come.
Yes and amen, I count on it...The Lord favors those who choose to walk in His ways.
Peter's repentance was key. I am so thankful that the Lord forgives (and forgets!) our sins when we admit them. Sensitivity to sin is a gift from God!
Thank you for your faith-filled, powerful encouragement!
Faith in God alone. Choose His way out. God provides...ALL the time!
