June 21
Today is the first day of summer and the longest light day of the year.  Let's use every minute for the glory of the Lord!
We arrived Wednesday night and I booked the wrong hotel, LOL!  It was interesting finding our way with google who seemed to be driving us in circles in the middle of no where but we found it and all is well!  I don’t know how Jason kept it so together on the road since I was laughing so hard.  This is not the best of Portland neighborhoods which was indicated by the adult store next door!  The hotel is fine, clean and the people are very nice who run it.  It does have an 8.0 rating!

We spent some time with my sister yesterday and it was very pleasant.  The head injury has definitely affected her mentation but Sharon is doing much better this year from last.  She will be 80 in September.  It was a pleasant visit and we will meet my niece Stacy there later this afternoon at 4 and then go to dinner together.  Lena is unable to make it this year.  After visiting Sharon we met Erin (daughter) for “coffee” and had a nice visit.  She just got her associates degree and is doing pretty good, working, raising the girls and has been offered a grant to get her bachelors degree.
This morning we will first pick up our granddaughters Jamie (16) and Hayden (11) at 10 this morning and spend time with them until about 3 pm.  I am very much looking forward to the visit!
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

 Psalm 91:1 ESV
Ruth 3-4
I am so grateful that my Lord Yeshua is my kinsman redeemer!  The story of Ruth is so significant for Ruth and Boaz are David’s great grandparents.  We know that our Lord was birthed from the clan of Judah which was David’s (and Boaz, thus Ruth).  What is speaking to me is that though I may be insignificant in terms of what the world considers significance,  the Lord Yeshua Himself is my kinsmen redeemer and one day, I will also be His bride as will all who believe in Him.  He paid a great bride price to redeem me, His very one blood!
Isaiah 45
I find it interesting that many have likened President Trump to Cyrus especially considering this chapter.  Israel is saved by our Lord Yeshua and Him alone.  One day all will realize that God will never and has never forsaken Israel.  He has never or will ever forsake me!
Luke 23
One enemy will often align himself with another enemy to revolt against the innocent.  I think about the people before Pilate (and Herod) who knew that Lord Yeshua was not deserving of death, yet they listened to the screaming of the minority over what they knew was truth.  Sound familiar, like our political leaders of today?  Right here is the display of our Lord paying the price, the death penalty for a murderer.  I think also about how our political leaders (Obama was president and Clinton was secretary of state) during the Benghazi, Libya incident where they attacked the American embassy and killed the four Americans blaming it on the video of an innocent man and put him in jail because of it.  God will justify the innocent in due time.  We are justified because our Lord Yeshua paid the price for our lives when we all deserved the death penalty, but God, took our sin and paid the price for us with His own blood!  Oh Hallelujah!  The Sabbath was taken seriously and even though our Lord was crucified, it was still observed.  I can’t help but think of how far less important things keep people away from attending church and taking a Sabbath rest day each week!
Meditate & Apply: I am redeemed from the curse and given the blessing from my Lord Yeshua!  He is my kinsman redeemer and the only one who could pay the price for me!
