June 23
Another full day yesterday.  We visited with sister Sharon in the morning and she was in a much better mood and the visit was very pleasant.  Jamie did incredible at her piano recital.  Afterwards we all went to Outback and then to our hotel to pack and get ready for this morning and we are now at the airport and ready to fly to Tulsa, via Chicago.  Lonnie and Linda will pick us up when we land tonight.  We have a two-hour layover but it will go quickly as we will grab some lunch.  I am looking forward to the warmer weather although I have to say this has been one of the nicest weather experiences in Portland, not raining and sun coming out fairly early in the day.
Daily Verse from Bible Gateway:
…but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31 ESV
1 Samuel 2

The Lord, He is God and He lifts those who call on Him unto blessing!  Thank You Lord for being my provision and that You see to it I never go without what I need.  What we offer to the Lord must be from a right heart toward Him and not with contempt or it is not accepted.  It is so wonderful that Hannah “loaned” Samuel to the Lord and the Lord blessed her with 5 more children.  I can never out give the Lord!
This verse: (26 Now the boy Samuel continued to grow both in stature and in favor with the Lord and also with man.) reminds me of (“And Jesus advanced in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men.”) from Luke 2:52.
Isaiah 48
All that the Lord declares comes to pass.  Glory belongs to the Lord and not man.  He lets us know what is to come throughout His Word but is it up to me to pay attention to the prophetic Word He so faithfully gives.  Hardened hearts cannot hear or understand God’s Word.  God will never completely forsake Israel or His people that turn to Him.  Peace is for those who trust in the Lord.
Acts 1
The number one reason for the gift of God’s Holy Spirit is to be a witness on behalf of the Lord Yeshua with His power, yet it is not the only reason.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Leadership is decided by God not man.
Meditate & Apply: I can never out give the Lord for the Word is clear in that whatever I sow I reap (Galatians 6: 8).  Hannah reaped 5 children for the one child she gave to the Lord.  The attributes of God are seen in men and women in the Bible who truly served Him.  What attributes would people say that I had that were godly?  Lord, help redirect me where I don’t realistically represent Your character.  Lord Yeshua left us with such a great peace that the world cannot give (John 14:27).  It is such a wonderful thing to have in this life!  Men and women are not self appointed into ministry.  It is the Lord who appoints and anoints with the power of the Holy Spirit!

It is true, we cannot outgive God. Being in the presence of the Lord should cause growth, if not, I have a hard heart condition. Don’t want that!
