July 8
I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.

Psalm 138:2 ESV
1 Samuel 20
Betrayal is a real issue in this life and it happens in various ways so we should not be surprised but trust God to take care of it.  It happens with those closest to us but did Lord Yeshua not warn us about this (Matthew 10:35-37)?  And what about Judas, Peter, Saul, etc. etc.?  It is one of the more painful things to experience yet we are told to forgive.  We can forgive for the Lord has forgiven us of everything and did not all of us betray Him at some point in our lives?  Forgiveness is an act of our will not an emotion.  We choose to forgive and then let God take care of the emotional pain in our hearts.  He will, every time as we choose to do this (forgive).
Isaiah 64
People!  God gives His love and mercy and it gets trampled on and them we expect blessing.  Lord forgive us!  You are so very good.  Open the eyes and hearts in this era that we as a Nation will return to You.  I thank You that You hear our prayers and move on our behalf to those who truly love You.
Acts 16
It is interesting to me that Paul had Timothy circumcised after going through this whole thing that it was unnecessary because the Lord looks at the heart.  I think it easier sometimes just to appease with something that doesn’t really matter (not sinful) so that others will listen to the Gospel.  The outcome was that “the churches were strengthened in the faith, and they increased in numbers daily”.  I have followed through on how the Gospel went to Macedonia, through Europe, through the United States and then through Hawaii.  I am surely glad that Paul obeyed the Spirit of God!  It is so encouraging to me that during incarceration with feet in stocks, that Paul and Silas were worshiping the Lord!
Meditate & Apply: Forgiveness trumps betrayal!  The Lord has given us all of the tools we need to abandon the hurts of our heart.  My part is to use them.  I can never stop praying for those who need the Lord.  It is so important to follow the Spirit and not my plans.  Because Paul listened and obeyed the Spirit, the Gosple spread many years later to our own nation.  I recommend reading John Bevere’s book “Good or God” or taking the Champion class when offered.

May all understand that when we forgive, we set ourselves free from bondage. Most of the time, people don't even know they offended us or that we are holding unforgiveness against them, at least at first. Good point on going ahead with appeasement sometimes to open the door for people to listen.

Yes, I need to also use the tools God has given me to abandon the hurts of my heart. Love you!

Forgiveness is an act of our will not an emotion. Sooo true. You purpose it regardless of how you feel. Forgiveness is a powerful tool to the inside of our heart condition I have found.

Yes. Forgiveness is a choice. Thank you for reminding me of betrayal being a part of this cursed world, but we have a choice to live overcome by it or not by choosing to forgive. Yes, Lord. You are so merciful. Your plan is best! Yes! Praising and Worshiping the Lord in dire circumstances seems crazy to the world, but God! Jesus already overcame the world! Amen! Truly enjoyed that book!
