Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV

1 Samuel 21-22
David was creative in trying to stay alive!  God can use anyone, even a bunch of people that are in distress, in debt and discontented!  This is often how people come to God and it isn’t very long before victory is in their hands!  Everyone always thinks their generation is the worst when it comes to evil doings but the truth is that people, given to their own ways without God, can easily be evil and have been since Cain killed his brother Abel.
Isaiah 65
Sowing and reaping – such is life.  Sow good, reap good and sow evil and reap evil.  There will be a new Heaven and Earth that is not corrupt because it will be ruled by the reign of our Lord.  The millennial reign will be amazing!
Acts 17
Those who examine the scriptures daily are considered noble in the eyes of our Lord.  Paul was not limited to the Temple to minister the Word as we are not either.  I am to share the Lord wherever the Lord takes me.  Paul used what was around him to get people’s attention so he could share the Gospel with them.  You know what?  This still is God’s plan!
Meditate & Apply: If God has used the likes of me, once bound to the world system of evil, He can use anyone and I am so grateful for His love, forgiveness, mercy and grace!  David didn’t care at all about how the men came to him and was able to turn them into a great army for the Lord.  I look forward to the millennial reign!  Examining the scriptures daily protects us from false doctrines.  Examining the scriptures is what brought me to the Lord.  I like Josh McDowell’s story how he researched the Bible to prove it was false and ended up becoming a very strong Believer and has served the Lord for many years since.  His book, “Evidence that demands a verdict” still is read by many as well as his others.  As I listen to the Holy Spirit and am aware of what is important to a person, I am given opportunity to share the love of God with them.  Someone told me the other day, “You have a great memory about my family”.  Listening in this day and age is a real skill that people desire and it is the greatest of tools when we run into someone to ask about the situation they shared months or even years before.

I like your listening skills. You are honed in. Yes, David surely was creative in how to stay alive. Waiting for deliverance surely does take some creativity and patience. I love how he was waiting on God for the right moment.
