And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.  Philippians 1:6 ESV

1 Samuel 23

When unsure, ask the Lord again though He will give the same answer!  As said before Engedi is an amazing place and one of my very favorites in Israel for it is amid the desert across from the Dead Sea in a land that has no growth, yet there are springs, beautiful foliage, animals and pools of water from waterfalls.  Oh, how I miss Israel!

Isaiah 66
All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord.  But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.

Contrite from Webster’s 1828 Dictionary:
CONTRITE, adjective [Latin , to break or bruise; to rub or wear. See Trite.] Literally, worn or bruised. Hence, broken-hearted for sin; deeply affected with grief and sorrow for having offended God; humble; penitent; as a contrite sinner.
A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Psalms 51:17.

Joy comes to those who fear the Lord!  I rejoice with you Jerusalem for what glorious things the Lord will do for you!  It is good to be on the Lord’s side!  I can’t get who wouldn’t want to be on His side except those who want to do things their own way.  He knows all things and I cannot even predict the next second.  His desire is for fellowship with me and to bring me good and never harm (Jeremiah 29:11)!  His love is the greatest of all and He is here for me 24/7!

Acts 18
Lord, may I be occupied with Your Word!  Priscilla and Aquila did the correct thing by taking Apollos to the side and not embarrassing him in front of others.

Meditate & Apply:
Ask the Lord and if not sure ask again but don’t expect a different answer.  I cannot ever get full of myself!  I must instead be full of the Spirit so I have a humble and contrite heart.  I am grateful that I am on Your side Lord!  I never want to leave it again!  I must be occupied with the Word of God, sharing with others as He brings people in my life to do so.  It is good to correct people without embarrassing them when they are trying to be correct.

I wrote about En-Gedi today too!! The image is so vivid in my mind! I love word studies and adding specific definitions to my vocabulary and understanding. 💕
