August 1
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.  Psalm 119:114 ESV

2 Samuel 18

There was no son for Absalom to carry forth his name.  Remembrance often gets wiped out when people do evil.  I just read that one of Osama Bin Laden’s son was killed…David’s line would be carried forth through Solomon all the way to our Messiah Yeshua.  David’s grief was for Absalom yet there was not grief like this for his other son whom Absalom murdered or his daughter who was raped.  We have different relationships with our children yet it is important not to favor one over another.

Jeremiah 22
God is just and righteous.  He enables those who love Him to be the same.  I have the Book of Wisdom that teaches me how.  I am one who weeps for those who cannot return to Israel since it is the age of return.

2 Peter 2
There are many false voices out there that claim to be Christians.  With technology we must be aware and not listen nor watch these people but must discern what is from God and what is not.  The extreme grace message is a lie from the very pit of Hell.  We cannot live against the Lord’s ways and expect salvation in the end.

9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, (temptations) and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who indulge (who go after the flesh in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority).
The absolute saddest thing to me is watching people who have walked with the Lord, sometimes for years, turn away.  These I truly weep for!

Meditate & Apply: Righteous parents do not place the value of one child over another.  In my own family I experienced this with my mother placing much value on my brother and little on my sister and myself.  Michael was enabled much and at 55 he murdered himself.  Just saying…I love that both of my nieces call themselves “your favorite niece” and they are both correct!  I am to live just and righteous and can depend on the Lord to help me get back on track (How many bibles do you own?) when I am heading in the wrong direction.  Yes, God’s grace is sufficient for me to live His way and not to sin!  I am grateful that my God ALWAYS gives me a way out of temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13).  My part is to submit to His way out!  I will continue to pray for those who have walked away that they will return to the Lord.  They can because I did and look what the Lord has done!

Always a way out, He is so good to give it to us and keep us on track! No turning away, there is always hope in the Lord, the world doesn't provide any hope.

Miss you!

Amen! People get so mad when we say we're God's favorite because they don't get it. God is God. If He's not a respecter of any person, that means we're all His favorite. He is limitless, we are not. You don't need to "figure it out." Just accept it and receive. Amen! thanks, PT!

I know, right? So good to see at our women's meeting today!

Amen! I pray that those who have wandered away would realize the vastness of the love God has, and that we're never too far away to be welcomed back with open arms, just like we would welcome our prodigal children home. There's always room in our hearts and even more so in God's.
