For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21 ESV
1 Kings 12
Oh how foolish to listen to the young and ill-advised over the older, experienced and wiser! This is what is so disturbing about the current condition of higher education but this is for another time! God had a plan and knew this would happen so all was going in the correct direction. Bad leaders make for very bad outcomes!
I really like the tenacity of Jeremiah though it cost him so much. Such an obedient fellow to the Lord. He must have an exceptional place in heaven! It’s amazing how we must be told over and over and over again to get it! I am so glad that for all Believers, the Bible tells us the Good News over and over and over again!
The transfiguration must have been quite the sight for the Messiah followers!
23 And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
Once again we are shown by the answer the Lord gave to the disciples that we must hear from the Spirit as we pray for others as it is not the methodology but faith knowing the Lord will direct.
Meditate & Apply: Though the young be energetic and have new ideas, it is good to get wisdom that comes from having walked with the Lord for years. Those who are young and walk with the Lord have a wisdom beyond their years! Listen to the Lord when serious prayer is needed so the need gets met. Be salty (in the sense of Word preservation within me and sharing out of me) and at peace with others!
Amen! All! I must remind myself to prefer the eternal things over the natural things. I agree that Jeremiah must have an exceptional place in Heaven! Praise God that faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of God. It is necessary to keep pumping the vision! This life is temporary!
"Once again we are shown by the answer the Lord gave to the disciples that we must hear from the Spirit as we pray for others as it is not the methodology but faith knowing the Lord will direct." Prayer is a necessity. The lifestyle of thsoe who want to meet the real needs as the Holy Spirit directs. Love it!
