You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
Isaiah 26:3 ESV
1 Kings 22
Well, if you’re going to ask God, listen to the response and do what He says!!!
When people don’t “tie the hands” of God, He is able to restore. Consequences of sin often fall to generations to come if people don’t turn to the Lord. Interesting that because of Esau’s rebellion and him not training his children in the ways of God, the rebellion continued (and continues to this day). Damascus has suffered greatly even in our generation because of what has gone on in Syria. Babylon was mostly current day Iraq.
There are many who call themselves “Christians” but don’t live God’s way so they are not “Born Again” which means living the life as stated in Galatians 2:20. The Lord has His remnant that still loves Him even in the midst of evil. Iran has more people turning to Lord Yeshua than probably any other place else right now. In China this has happened even with the persecution for so many years. The Church of Philadelphia is a like and type of the faithful churches that are standing today and not watering down the Truth of the Word of God. God is not pleased with fence sitters (lukewarm “Believers”) who can be swayed easily into sinful living.
19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. 21 The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”
Meditate & Apply: Ask God, listen to what He says, then just do it and ALL will be WELL. All of God’s Word comes to pass making it easy to trust Him knowing what He says is ALWAYS truth. God loves me and will correct me when I need it and I am grateful because He blesses me with so much good!
Consequences of sin often fall to generations to come if people donât turn to the Lord. - Yes. It is my responsibility to train up MY child in the admonition of the Lord so that all will be well with him and my grandchildren, etc., etc. Thank You, Lord, that You hear my petitions and answer them and when I miss it and I don't know it, you correct me and instruct me in the way I should go because You love me! Amen!
As parents, we find it frustrating to be asked an opinion, then have that opinion disregarded. I imagine when we do the same to God that it can't be a relationship building kind of move.... Thank you Lord for your correction!
