The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
Psalm 25:14-15 ESV
2 Chronicles 8
Solomon knew he couldn’t bring his wife into his home or near the glory of God, yet he still married her…
The Temple Mount in Israel is run by the Muslim Arabs and this is where the Dome of the Rock (their religious gathering place) is located. They block off the Eastern Gate. They KNOW that the Lord Yeshua will one day return and to think they can stop Him by blocking off the entrance is more than ridiculous. When you stand on the top at the Mount of Olives, you look down and across into the Old City of David and see the Eastern Gate Entrance. On the top of the Mount of Olives as you’re looking toward the Eastern Gate are many burial sites with the dead bodies of the Jews laying in the coffins and tombs with their feet first facing toward the Gate so that as they believe, when they are risen from the dead they will be facing toward the Eastern Gate to see their Messiah, facing Him. The Jews not yet Born-Again believe this will be the first coming of the Messiah while the rest of us know it is His return. When the Third Temple is built, we will know the return of the Lord is imminent.
Rejoicing is a big part of walking out our salvation with the Lord. I am also to be scripturally reasonable. I should never be anxious, for the Lord, my God cares so much for me and takes care of it all on my behalf. My part is to wait on You, Lord with that trust that You call faith. Your peace truly does confound me because before You, whatever they called peace wasn’t peace at all! The key to ridding myself of all anxiety if it wants to express itself within me is:
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Being content, no matter the circumstances follows thinking on all things God. Generosity means my God supplies all of my need!
Application: Do what I know is acceptable to the Lord and don’t do the rest. I struggled with contentment when I was so ill for 19 months BUT GOD! Or course I was thrilled when I would walk and do more activities of daily living but I truly am content with where I am though I await the fullness of healing on my flesh! The Lord has enabled me to do so much and I am blessed!
Standing with you, knowing your healing is complete!
Thank you, Jesus!
Yes, it is!
Chronicles = True. Don't justify. I thank you for speaking into my life regarding any future marriage.
Ezekiel = When the Third Temple is built, we will know the return of the Lord is imminent. - Thank you so much for sharing the history and explaining how it translates or relates today.
"scripturally reasonable" - Great reminder. Don't take things out of context. In fact, keep things in perspective - Biblical perspective. God is good. See things from God's perspective. Faith in who He is keeps me in check. "Being content, no matter the circumstances follows thinking on all things God. Generosity means my God supplies all of my need!" Amen!
The Bible Project on youtube just released a video on generosity. Very good.
