Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.  Psalm 51:12 ESV
2 Chronicles 12-13

It is not just an automatic thing but I must set my heart to seek the Lord.  Emotions are not my heart.  My will is what sets my heart and I must will to serve my Lord.  Salt represents preservation.  As I rely on the Lord, I prevail!
Ezekiel 46
As a daughter of the Lord, His inheritance is given to me and returns to me if “loaned out”.  No one can take it away.  No animal can even come close to the permanent sacrifice our Lord made for us at the Cross.  He is our unblemished Lamb of God!
Colossians 3
Staying eternal minded keeps me in joy.  Everything in this world is momentary.  We are all the same in Messiah.  It takes effort to walk with the Lord thus it says, “put on”.  It doesn’t just happen.
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Without order, there is chaos.
Application: My will is toward my God.  Nothing in this world can offer me anything at all in comparison and it is all fleeting but my relationship with my Lord is for all eternity!  Relying on the Lord causes me to prevail.  It is worth giving all to serving the Lord in this life for there awaits an eternal inheritance for the sons and daughters of the Highest.  Clothe myself in God today.  I have all reason to be thankful today and every day.

Yes, it has nothing to do with what I feel. God expects me to respond with a grateful heart in ALL situations.

Amen, feelings are indicators but not truth.

As I rely on the Lord, I prevail! - AMEN!

No one can take my inheritance away. - Praise God! Yes! Jesus Christ is the Lamb - the FINAL sacrifice!

It takes effort to keep Jesus Christ as Lord. "It doesn't just happen." - sorry. That made me laugh!

Amen! I have every reason to be thankful! Bye-bye, bad attitude!

Yes, keeping an eternal perspective is a daily choice. I desire to highly regard this daily to help make right choices. It does take effort to walk with the Lord, but I never regret when I do. He’s so instructive and much required. Love you...

Eternal perspective keeps us safe.

Yes, Staying eternal minded keeps me in joy, so it true! If I am not joyful I haven't been pressing into his presence. Every day and even several times during the day my consciousness should be of his presence and 'putting on'

So true, so we must press in!
