November 18
Nehemiah 5-6, Joel 1, Hebrews 10
Application:
It was not allowed under the Law to exact (take) interest from family. I won’t take interest now, not because of the law but because it would mean they were making a vow. After praying, I loaned money to someone and they wanted me to take interest and sign a contract and I wouldn’t because I knew their history and they didn’t usually pay their debts. I didn’t want to have this person owe a “vow” to the Lord, since this is what it really is. Did they finish paying? No, so to keep my heart right when they stopped, I just forgave the debt. Jason and I were in agreement about doing this (giving and forgiving) even though we knew the potential outcome.  Sometimes people need an opportunity to change their ways even if it costs us something (which is usually does yet God is my financial planner). Would I do this again? If the Lord said of course but if not, of course not! What is mine is His.
Nehemiah gave the people meals without charge. I will tell you that God provides. I think of all the company we have had and fed this year and how awesomely our God makes provision!
It doesn’t matter how much the enemy threatens me because if God is on my side what He wants done, gets done.
Repentance changes everything – receiving the forgiveness of God and all of His blessing, bringing a clean heart and great joy to me for being set free. Therefore, the goal is not to sin but should I, be quick to repent (run from it and run to God!
I need the same will as my Lord Yeshua did – to do the Will of the Father. It is so wonderful that I can enter into the Presence of God, anytime, anywhere! My God, You are faithful so I never have to waver at all You have promised me! My part is to walk by faith without wavering!

Steadfast. I love that we are already perfect in God's eyes, seated with Jesus in heavenly places, as we work out our salvation/sanctification here on earth.

Yes God is the best financial planner! Sometimes we are the ones who need to give people that chance to change, else they may not get it at all. Thank God the Holy Spirit's presence is available at all times, everywhere.

Thank you for your stories. I agree that if the Lord says, do it and if not, don't. We are to prayerfully consider everything. I am grateful that I can consult God and always seek godly counsel.

Yes! I can trust my God to provide! Amen! Still working my way through Pastor Jason's stewardship series. :)

We all have stories which turn to testimonies, don't we?
