Nehemiah 8, Joel 3, Hebrews 12
Apply Today: It is one thing for me to read the Bible but a much more important thing for me to understand what the Lord is speaking, especially since the Lord has anointed me to do this. God can use anyone who is willing to do His work. Nehemiah was a cupbearer who became the Governor! How wonderful is it Lord that You would have us celebrate Your Word!
Thank You Lord that You will repay anyone who rises up against Israel where You have placed Your Name. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:6-9 (NASB)
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
7 “May peace be within your walls,
And prosperity within your palaces.”
8 For the sake of my brothers and my friends,
I will now say, “May peace be within you.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your good.
When I think of the Great Cloud of Witnesses, I think of how many that have made it and are cheering me on for success. As I am thankful there is no room for weariness for weariness is no fun at all. The following is such a reminder statement for me: 11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Yes, receiving what the Lord is saying to us as individuals is the word operating effectively in our lives. Agree on the peace of Jerusalem.
The best thing about our trip to Israel was God's impartation of a great love for His first chosen people. So thankful that I am now part of the family of God!
