Leaving Carlsbad NM, we drove to Amarillo TX today.  We saw a lot of cows!  Yesterday we walked through Carlsbad Caverns and man oh man does my body feel it from walking a mile downhill!  I always thought the uphill was difficult yet the downhill sure affects the leg muscles LOL!  Tomorrow, Lord willing, we will horse back ride for 90 minutes through Palo Duro Canyon which is the 2nd largest Canyon in the US.  We are waiting for a call back to see if they have an opening.  Wednesday is Norman OK just so we don't have to drive for 10 hours to get to Eric and Denise where we will conclude our family visits and road trip.  We have been to Oregon and Nevada and driven in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Texas and will also drive through Oklahoma and Arkansas.  We continue to pray for you all regarding the air from Volcano and also praying that this end the 36 year old plume and it all travel underground and into the ocean with no more VOG!

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction.  1 Corinthians 1:10 CSB

Joshua 7

Wow, so true, people sin and then lose heart in their life circumstance.  I can whine about circumstances turning sour but if it is because of sin in the church, the Lord expects me to deal with it without the whine!  Those of you who tithe never have to be concerned about the calamity that befalls those who violate God’s Covenant by stealing what is set apart for Him.  What is to be set apart?  The tithe, the offering, the helping of the poor (missions)…and anything that the Lord asks of us.  He gets the first fruits and we get all the rest which is beyond a great deal.  Seriously, who else does this for us?  Hmmm, something that is also apparent through these scriptures is that keeping what belongs to the Lord contaminates it and it becomes worthless in our hands.  God said to burn it in these passages along with those who stole it!  Lord, help those that don’t get that without giving You the first fruits we violate Your Covenant with us and what that will eventually bring into our lives if we are not repentive and make it right with You.  I think it best to never enter the Valley of Trouble (Achor)!

Isaiah 11

This is such a beautiful description of our Messiah!  He is faithful and righteous!  One of the things I look forward so much to is being able to hang out with the lions and tigers and bears, oh my!  I just told Jason this week I can’t wait to tickle a lions belly!  How incredible to think that the land will be full of the knowledge of the Lord and all life will flow in harmony.

The Lord is coming to gather me from the islands!

Yes, internet!

Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, according to Christ Jesus, so that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one mind and one voice.  Romans 15:5-6 CSB

Joshua 5-6

5 The men being circumcised represents the covenant between them and God and this way they knew it was not just between their parents but with them and God also.  His Word was the same for the people entering the Promised Land as it was for their forefathers.  I don’t know if you realize this, but this still holds true today for Jews that are not yet Born-Again (Believers circumcise their hearts though there is nothing wrong with physical circumcision).  There has been a huge movement and successful in places to not physically circumcise males after birth (God told Jews to pick the 8th day and it has been found that on the 8th day after birth, the blood starts clotting correctly so there shouldn’t be any bleeding problems for the child).  This has been an anti-Semitic movement against Jews  (to not allow circumcision) in our nation (probably others also).  I know Rabbis used to be  (don't know if this still holds true in the US -WOULD need to look it up) trained to circumcise so there still is the possibility to have this done for Jewish male babies.

It doesn’t matter that the manna ceased because the Lord had provision ready for the Jews in Canaan.

6 God’s Presence is Holy.  I absolutely hate it when we are worshipping and people are talking story!  No problem when babies act like babies but when adults do it, it really pushes my buttons and I am not sorry nor do I need to repent!  God’s Presence is Holy!  This certainly is fitting for the next part also with God saying that no one was to talk when they were marching around Jericho.  I wonder how many people could actually do this?  We went to Carlsbad Caverns today and one of the mere 4 rules is to only whisper because everything echoes in the canyon and yet, there were people who didn’t whisper and it was distracting!  How much more should we be silent before the Lord than at a tourist attraction when He asks us of this?  Maybe if this happened people could hear better what the Lord is saying…I’m just saying.

The Lord gets the first of the plunder – always!  I wonder about all those people who win big lotteries and end up in poverty – did they ever think to tithe to God His portion first?  I would think that those who did, still have their wealth.

22 Joshua said to the two men who had scouted the land, “Go to the prostitute’s house and bring the woman out of there, and all who are with her, just as you swore to her.” 23 So the young men who had scouted went in and brought out Rahab and her father, mother, brothers, and all who belonged to her. They brought out her whole family and settled them outside the camp of Israel.

As I obey the Lord His promises are yes and amen!  This promise is so wonderful as it says, “…and all who belonged to her.  They brought out her whole family…" Lord, bring out my whole family from the lies and bondages of the enemy.  Thank You for this wonderful Word for such a time as this!

This morning was Christina’s graduation party so we checked out early and got to J&M’s house at 8:30 to assist with the 930-1130 am celebration.  It was in their backyard and very pleasant.  Visited with people we hadn’t seen in many years but mostly hung out with Debbie (Jason’s bio mom) and his 2 sisters.  We left around 1130 and took maybe 2 hours’ worth of stops in Albuquerque and Roswell.  Great Mexican food but we love the New Mexican food the best out of anywhere in the states.  So it has been a lot of enchilada’s, etc.  This was our longest driving day and we got in at 10pm to a very nice studio BNB.  Jason crashed and the internet stopped working so tomorrow gets two blog days.

Philippians 4:4 (KJV) Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Joshua 3-4

3 The Lord gives us the visual to see the new “route” He sends us on.  I never see the entire picture even though I get glimpses as I am moving forward.  This trip has been like this.  We planned an itinerary yet all is not exactly what we thought we would see (much better, actually) and there have been some road detours and even the GPS has made several errors.  The key is always to be led by the Spirit, keep moving forward and know that when the Lord is at the helm, all is well!

If I expect wonders from the Lord, my heart must be prepared so I am consecrated to see and receive.  When the Lord puts His new person in place, He is with them as much as the person before.  God’s anointing has to go before me to lead me.

4 We all need places of remembrance of what the Lord does for us.  These are reminders, not things to worship.  It is the Lord, God Almighty who plants my feet on solid “ground”!  The Lord’s hand is mighty and truly knowing this grants me the fear of Him bringing me ALL that is good.

It seems I have been able to do the OHA blog later in the evening.  Christina's graduation was splendid and tomorrow morning is her graduation breakfast party and then we drive off to Carlsbad, New Mexico which is about a 7.5 hour drive so we will get in hopefully by 8pm.  Today we went early to Jared's elementary (which he is graduating from next week) school and watched him and the other children in a talent show.  He and his friend did yoyo tricks and were actually very impressive.

Before we left the Lord spoke to me about this being a mission.  PJ said yesterday what our mission is, is to really be praying for our family.  My sister is not long for this world but she is Born-Again.  Two of the grandchildren in Oregon are Believers (so much thanks to their other grandma)!  Bless her Lord.  The children and grand here, know the Lord but not the way the Lord truly wants to be known.  Eric and Denise know and are serving Him as we are all called to do.  Everyone else desperately needs Him and we have a mission to pray, pray, pray!  All things are possible with my God!  Don't give up parents.  He saved Rahab, He saved us, He will save our children!

For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints—and by continuing to serve them. Hebrews 6:10 CSB

Joshua 2
There is no excuse to think that God cannot use us. He used a prostitute, for crying out loud! And not that He used a prostitute but that she showed up in the very genealogy of our Lord Yeshua and is one of the only four women even listed in the genealogy of our Messiah! There is not any excuse good enough for “How could God possibly use me”? There is nothing wrong with asking for a “sign” as Rahab did. Do we not ask for contracts with guarantees when we share a contract (covenant) with a vendor? Did not God give us the sign of the Holy Spirit as our guarantee (see Ephesians 1:13-14).

I had to laugh, Missi said she can't believe she's old enough to have a graduate!  Hey, wait, we have great grandchildren!

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and untraceable his ways!  Romans 11:33 CSB

Joshua 1

Just as God anointed Moses to lead the people, He anointed Joshua.  God does not decrease the anointing in those who follow after leadership as long as they are God’s chosen vessel.  God reiterated that because God was with Joshua, he could be strong and courageous, not afraid or discouraged.  I can conclude that because God is with me, I can be strong and courageous, not afraid or discouraged.

Isaiah 7

The Lord has laid out the historical facts that cannot be refuted because it is the Word of the Lord and it is impossible for Him to lie!

9b If you do not stand firm in your faith, then you will not stand at all.

These prophecies include before, during and after the Lord came and left earth.  How significant is it that the birth of a virgin would transpire and bring our Messiah?  I would say, so much, it too is beyond words yet can be completely trusted in for the Lord not lonely said it, but did it!
