Just as you don’t know the path of the wind, or how bones develop in the womb of a pregnant woman, so also you don’t know the work of God who makes everything. Ecclesiastes 11:5 CSB
God’s ways are always perfect and just, always and all. He is righteous and true and NEVER has bias because He alone is the Faithful and True One. Generations after generations have called on the Name of the Lord and then walked away deep into sin, forgetting God when all seems well. Lord, I pray that my generation and the next one and the next one and the next ones do not do this because we love You and want to live Your ways. Lord, it is only Your wisdom operating through us that can lead us to Your Truth but we all must call on the Name of the Lord and never stop as long as we have breath.
39 See now that I alone am he; there is no God but me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal. No one can rescue anyone from my power.
It is never enough for me to know the Lord, it is absolutely necessary that living His way be passed on until He returns and there are no more generations on this earth. The higher the leadership, the greater the accountability.
Just as the Lord prophesied through Moses, is now coming to pass. As long as there is obedience there is blessing. As long there is sin, the curse falls. Lord, Your commands are never burdensome but sin is, so help us Lord to choose You and life and run from the ways of the world and death. Again, in 70 AD, all the Jews (except for a remnant by God’s hand) were exiled and sent around the world to nations that never treated them as God did with His love, compassion, mercy and grace. Yet in our lifetime, the prophecies are being fulfilled and the Jews are returning to the homeland, God Himself chose for them.
20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
It is expected that I am obedient to the Word of the Lord, ready for every good work, never slander, be kind and gentle, not when I feel like it but “to all people” as this pleases my Abba. How can I not do this with all the Lord has done for me? His mercy saved me, He regenerated me and He renewed me by the power of the Holy Spirit. Becoming fruitful is the evidence of productive good works in the Lord.
Meditation: Living for the Lord requires me to live for others, training them in the ways of God, especially the future generations and producing good fruit and never dead works. Living for the Lord always produces a blessed and fruitful life whereas living for the devil destroys life.
Application: Love enough to pass on all who God is to the generations who follow after me. Don’t waste time, only produce good fruit.
