Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.  James 5:16 CSB

Deuteronomy 23

My God has turned the curse into the blessing for me because He loves me!  Do what I say and say what I mean to do.

Song of Solomon 3

I must seek the Lord until I find Him and never be without Him!

Seek the Lord while he may be found; call to him while he is near.  Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord,so he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will freely forgive.

This is the second time it states, “Do not stir up or awaken love until the appropriate time”.  Ladies, wait on the Lord and don’t make a relationship happen without His lead!

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7 CSB

Deuteronomy 22

I am my brother’s and sister’s keeper!

“A woman is not to wear male clothing, and a man is not to put on a woman’s garment, for everyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord your God.

Case closed.

Taking care of even the animals brings prosperity and long life!  All is the creation of the Lord.  My home is to be safe for others!  I don’t know what the law is here about swimming pools but I know in places I have lived it is mandatory to have a fence around them to protect children.  I don’t think this is law for Hawaii.

There would be a lot of dead people if these laws about fornication and adultery were still in effect.  Whoa – thank God women today do not have to marry their rapists!

Song of Solomon 2

I am my Lord’s and He is mine, His banner over me is love!

Love should never be stirred up inappropriately but only in God’s timing and His choosing.  Make sure ladies you have clearly heard from the Lord on who you are to marry so that you don’t live a miserable life!

Today’s Verse of the Day is my prayer for our community, State, and Nation!

…and my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.  2 Chronicles 7:14 CSB

Deuteronomy 21

One of the things that speaks so loudly about the Israeli’s is the value of life.  The entire State of Israel mourns when there is any human loss of their people and they celebrate when even one soldier is returned from captivity.  I see how this is so ingrained in the Israelis from God.  When Pastor Jason and I were in Israel in 2011 and flying home, the pilot announced the return of a soldier who had been held hostage for some years and the people on the flight went immediately into celebratory mode, clapping, cheering, and all they could do on an airplane to celebrate.

Lord, wipe away the guilt of your people Israel whom you redeemed, and do not hold the shedding of innocent blood against them.’ Then the responsibility for bloodshed will be wiped away from them. You must purge from yourselves the guilt of shedding innocent blood, for you will be doing what is right in the Lord’s sight.

My God cares for His women.  I will never get the more than one wife thing!  What a difference today in that children are so often enabled by parents to be drunkards and rebellious!  Lord, let the people turn from wicked ways so You will heal our land!

23 you are not to leave his corpse on the tree overnight but are to bury him that day, for anyone hung on a tree is under God’s curse. You must not defile the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

Thank You Lord Yeshua that You became a curse on humankind’s behalf so we could be made righteous in You (Galatians 3:13-14).

Song of Solomon 1

It is so wonderful to me that God is such a romantic!  For those who are married, this is a wonderful book to share the reading together, reading each part corresponding with each appropriate gender.  Just remember, we are the Bride of Messiah and He sees us all as beautiful and the love of His life!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.  Romans 12:12 CSB

Deuteronomy 20

The Lord is with me no matter how much bigger the battle seems in the natural!  It is the minister who is to encourage those in the battle.  Just think if that happened before our soldiers went out into battle today – that the minister prepared them and encouraged them in the Word, prior to their fight!  I am to destroy anything from my life that is not from the Lord and would lead me astray, so it doesn’t take me away from Him.

Ecclesiastes 12

My Creator is to be remembered continuously.

13 When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: fear God and keep his commands, because this is for all humanity. 14 For God will bring every act to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil.

This was written by the wisest person God has ever created!

This is the confidence we have before him: If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked of him.  1 John 5:14-15 CSB

Deuteronomy 19

God is always Just and He makes a way to serve His Justice.  Blessing is the direct result of obedience.  Obedience is not difficult because the commands of the Lord are never burdensome (1 John 5:3).  I know I use this scripture a lot but it is true and fitting in association with our obedience to our Lord.  We still have manslaughter laws that are used in our judicial system and our own island as you know had a City of Refuge.

Unfortunately there are a lot of court cases in our land over boundary markers and it usually is infighting amongst family but also neighbors.  Oh my, it is so very wrong to make false accusations.  People do reap whatever they sow!

Ecclesiastes 11

A variety of investment is recommended by the Lord!  Sow to wherever the Lord directs me.  There are some very simple truths in life such as where the tree falls, there it will lie.

One who watches the wind will not sow, and the one who looks at the clouds will not reap.  In the morning sow your seed, and at evening do not let your hand rest, because you don’t know which will succeed, whether one or the other, or if both of them will be equally good.

These are such an unfortunate truths for the person who doesn’t look to God for provision but looks to circumstances but fantastic news for the ones who sow and diversify!

Life is fleeting so I must live for the Lord!
