Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18 CSB
1 Samuel 5-6
Blessing or cursing? Choose this day whom you will serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Once again, through this story, the Lord reiterates that His Name is on Israel and the blessing is for them and those who trust in God Almighty. The great mystery of the Lord that is revealed so eloquently by the Apostle Paul in his epistles (letters) is that all can be saved, in fact this is God’s desire, whether Jew or Gentile, as long as they have true faith in the Lord, our God. Even under the Law this was true yet became completely revealed through the death and resurrection of our Lord Yeshua!
5 My righteousness is near, my salvation appears, and my arms will bring justice to the nations. The coasts and islands will put their hope in me, and they will look to my strength.
The salvation of the Lord is eternal and it is while on this earth we can choose to make it so by placing our trust in the God of Abraham!
11And the redeemed of the Lord will return and come to Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.
The book of Isaiah begins with so much warning and ends with so much promise! How can one read this and not rejoice? I could have quoted the whole chapter but these are just a couple of scriptures that really stood out this morning. What I KNOW is that God is good and good only and everything that is not of Him will pass on yet those who wait for Him will grab ahold of all things wonderful.
