So let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord. For it is not the one commending himself who is approved, but the one the Lord commends. 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 CSB
1 Kings 12
It is foolish to receive wisdom from those without experience and an evil heart! God had warned the people when they wanted a king to rule over them instead of Him ruling and here it is truly coming to pass. Idolatry is sin that begets more sin. God must always be first and foremost in my life over everything including family, friends, wealth, work, ministry, and everything!
Obey the Lord and all goes well. Doesn’t seem like a difficult choice!
So then, dear friends, since we have these promises, let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1 CSB
1 Kings 11
I don’t care what anyone says. A Believer should NEVER marry a non-believer! So many have done so and struggled for years and so many women think they can change their husbands when in fact many of them get pulled away from the Lord. Now, if you marry when both are non-believers that is a different story and there is scripture to proclaim in this situation when one comes to the Lord to sanctify the marriage and children but no excuses for purposely being unequally yoked. God blessed Solomon with so much and yet his heart was turned away from Him because of loving women more than God. Another proof that being the wisest and richest doesn’t make one stick it out with God! God has to be first! I have so much respect in my heart for the women at Kona Faith Center that are so faithful to God even though their husbands are not yet serving the Lord. I pray often that they will sooner rather than later serve the Lord at Kona Faith Center, so your joy may overflow. People that get things done are noticed. A parent’s choices affect their children. Lord, may I always be a godly example to mine.
Watch and hear the Word of the Lord and heed it! Loving God and obeying Him doesn’t mean a lack of persecution. Americans have no idea what persecution truly means. Please pray for Jack Phillips. He is the baker in Colorado who won his case from the Supreme Court for refusing to bake a wedding cake for a homosexual wedding because of his Christian beliefs. Now the State of Colorado is coming after him again because he refused to bake a cake for a transgender celebration and someone else wants him to bake a satanic cake with sex toys. He is getting harassed for his faith with calls, etc. and by the civil rights commission. Mr. Phillips is now suing the State of Colorado. Pray first and foremost for his safety and also pray he win big bucks because of this, as the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just!
