The revelation of your words brings light and gives understanding to the inexperienced.  Psalm 119:130 CSB

2 Samuel 23

The Lord’s covenant with me is secure and ordered with every detail.  I find it interesting Joab is not listed in David’s thirty seven warriors that did great exploits.  He violated David’s trust at times and a great soldier not only has victories but obeys the commands of his leader and sets the example.

Jeremiah 26

The Lord is relentless with His mercy and giving opportunity for the sinner to come to Him or return to Him.

See you at For Such a Time as This this morning ladies!

“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’  Jeremiah 33:2-3 NASB

2 Samuel 22

Is this not the response we should have before our God?  I must sing to Him with worship, thanksgiving and praise for all He has done for me!  To know my God is the most wonderful thing there is in life.  He is so good to me!  He is more than enough and more than I could ever need or even want.  He is my God and there is no other!  Why would anyone even want another?  How blessed You have made me Lord!

Jeremiah 25

Wow, I think at times, how many times do I need to declare the same Word of God but Jeremiah was declaring the Word for 23 years and the hearts of the people remained hardened!  Lord, let this not be with the people who come to Kona Faith Center.  Let their love for You and others grow with hearts to have faith grow in each of them, living for You and being a live witness of You in them!  God did not hold back how long the people of Israel would be in captivity.  He told Jeremiah it would be 70 years.  Lord, let our time be done where people are in captivity in their sin.  Father, bring Your revival to us.  Let the people know their only hope is in You and You alone!

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his stature because I have rejected him. Humans do not see what the Lord sees, for humans see what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart.”  1 Samuel 16:7 CSB

Here is a special invitation JUST FOR YOU: Intercessory Prayer Times: Sunday @ 830am, and Wednesday @ 530pm before each service in the sanctuary.  Thursday at 1030 am with the focus on missions in our community, upcoming mission trips and local and overseas missions of those we support.

2 Samuel 20-21

It’s amazing to me how fickle people are with their commitment and loyalty!  This reminds me of being in school and people changing best friends and then being mean to the person they used to call their best friend!  How childish can grown men be?  God has always used His wise women to stop foolishness and disaster and here we read of another.  The key women is to be the wise women of God with the mind of Messiah!

Droughts occur for reason and the reason is sin.  I think about our own island with recent events and the extensive drought we had a few years back, the volcano burning people’s homes and land with the VOG affecting all, damaging earthquakes, the tsunami, dengue fever, the coffee borer beetle, the fires out in Waikoloa…Lord!  WE MUST INTERCEDE for the sinful behavior of our island-the incest, pornography, abuses, sexual immorality of all kinds, drunkenness, drug abuse, etc., etc., etc.!  Our land is perpetuated in the righteousness of our Lord Yeshua but is it with all this sin?  Let’s stand together against the enemy with the power of God and rid our island of this sin so many will be saved and we will once again be an island filled with Believers in the Lord, free of all their sinful bondages!

13 If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.

Sin continues to follow and affect families even after the sinner has died.  How wicked to not care about what happens to the future generations!  Lord, thank You that when we repent, really repent, you stop this on our behalf!

21:14b After this, God was receptive to prayer for the land.

Jeremiah 24

The Spirit of God asked me to speak to the ladies tomorrow at the women’s meeting on good and bad fruit and this is exactly what this chapter is about!   Thank You Holy Spirit for Your confirmation!

But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  James 1:22 CSB

2 Samuel 19

Joab was correct in this instance though I see him as a man who followed commands only when it suited him.  If David allowed the grief of Absalom to be greater than the love for the people, he would have lost his kingship.  We can certainly complicate things by not seeking God with decisions that must be made.  It’s not complicated if we heed the voice of the Lord for He knows the end from the beginning for all matters.

Jeremiah 23

The shepherds who abandon their people will be held accountable.  Woe is me if I don’t care for the people God has placed me to care for.  The same will be for the prophets who spew lies.  There are no self-appointed shepherds or prophets and not one word should be listened to unless they are God appointed.  The Lord NEVER burdens me because all He does is for my good out of His love and mercy for me.

“Look, the days are coming”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David.  He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.  In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely.  This is the name he will be called:  The Lord Is Our Righteousness.

Come Lord Yeshua, come!

You are my shelter and my shield; I put my hope in your word.  Psalm 119:114 CSB

2 Samuel 18

It is important to assess those the Lord has placed within my responsibility.  The wisdom of the Lord must always be used in the appointment of leadership.  There are very distinct traits the Lord expects of leaders and are easily found throughout the word.

I do get that David was grieved over his son Absalom but he should have been more grieved by Absalom’s display of evil behavior.  Many were dead because of Absalom.  What about all of those parents who lost sons?  David did not indicate the action of a good Commander in Chief in this situation!

Jeremiah 22

The land suffers from man’s sinful actions.

16 He took up the case of the poor and needy; then it went well.  Is this not what it means to know me?  This is the Lord’s declaration.

29 Earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord!
